While working as Sustainable Funding Consultant at NCVO I worked with Boards and charity managers across arts, youth and social welfare organisations conducting financial sustainability reviews and developing funding strategies.

As an Associate Consultant and Trainer, I developed funding and impact training for open courses and specific clients (e.g. Premier League Charitable Fund). In 2020/21 I trained over 300 people.

As Head of Development I developed a new fundraising strategy and restructured the team to diversify the income portfolio around major donor and corporate giving, while increasing the organisation’s profile and driving up individual and trust & foundations income. Key successes included working with service colleagues to develop a tri-borough service into a pan-London service, and securing six-figure, multi-year corporate funding from new corporates to deliver this.

Friends of the Earth

While Business Development Manager I introduced three key income streams: sporting and challenge events (including an in-house London to Edinburgh bike ride) the organisation’s first gala event which was a finalist at the Peer Award’s Customer Engagement category, and corporate fundraising.

RNIB

Working across strategy and innovation at RNIB I helped to set up the organisation’s innovation framework and engaged fundraising colleagues in using it. This included focused idea generation workshops, enhancing existing products and supporting managers to develop their business case for investment. I also managed the business planning and reporting framework for the fundraising group (£60m income/pa).
