After many years working in the charity sector in London, in 2017 I relocated to Yorkshire and began working with charities on a freelance and interim basis.
Since then, I have been Director of Fundraising at Day One Trauma Support (Nov 2020 – Dec 2021) and worked as a freelancer and trainer. Clients include Artis Foundation, The Stroke Association, Kensington & Chelsea Social Council, Voluntary Action Sheffield, and The JGA Group.
Prior to being self-employed, I was Head of Development at Toynbee Hall, responsible for all voluntary income including a capital appeal and securing the organisation’s first six-figure gifts from corporates and individuals. I have previously worked for NCVO, Friends of the Earth and RNIB and provided consultancy support to arts, health and social organisations. I have also been a charity trustee.
My experience lies in strategy development and developing new income streams. Having managed restricted, unrestricted and capital appeals, I’m well placed to support organisations looking to diversify or further develop their income streams. More broadly, I am able to support organisations with their governance, and strategic and business planning.
I hold an MSc (Distinction) in Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business School, the Institute of Fundraising’s Certificate in Fundraising and the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Diploma in Communications, Advertising and Marketing.
I work as an Associate with NCVO, 3rd Sector Mission Control and Well Read PR.
